• Arivys/Ari Farsyx: Long red hair typically braided. She’s part of Callyx’s squadron, bonded to a diving dragon, and is sister to Harvon, who is also in Callyx’s squadron. Bonded to a diving dragon. She’s twenty-seven at the beginning of the book.
  • Arys: Keeper of Secrets, member of the Royal Council. Grey hair, older.
  • Asha Vestyr: From Dolevyr, our FMC has brown hair and green eyes and works as steward to Callyx. She’s twenty-five at the beginning of the first book.
  • Ashirae: Devrys’s bonded sting dragon with bronze, metallic scales. Always has Padry, the small stealth dragon she saved, on her back.
  • Bavryth: Wyvra’s bonded pine green stealth dragon
  • Bekryn Severin: Youngest brother to the King, uncle who gets along with Callyx. Often drunk. Long, auburn hair. Uncle Bek
  • Bran: Devrys’s steward. Has dimples
  • Callyx Severin: bastard nephew to the King. Prince title granted because of his bond with Elion, his flail dragon. Raven hair, grey eyes, originally from Belryx Cuhl. Starts the series at twenty-eight
  • Dachlan: friend of Asha’s in Dolevyr. A rider in training at the beginning, not yet bonded to a dragon. He was FWB with Asha in Dolevyr and helped fund her relocation to Elyvar. Bonded to Helya, topaz-scaled gem dragon
  • Devrys/Dev: close friend to Calyx and member of his squadron. Brown, shoulder-length hair and easygoing persona. He’s bonded to Ashirae, a sting dragon.
  • Ekovyr: cousin to the royal princes and part of Faryn’s squadron
  • Elion: Callyx’s soul-bonded dragon. Blood red scaled flail dragon with yellow eyes
  • Elyvae Valyus: Darling of The Vell (El of the Vell). Bonded to Rydek, an infamous sting dragon. Most promising recruit in decades.
  • Farence Severin: King of Endilyth, devoted to his wife
  • Faryn Severin: Eldest nephew of the King, prince. Short blond hair. Is thirty-two at the beginning of the book. He’s commander of his squadron and bonded to a bronze flail dragon.
  • Fynrel/Fyn: fylcher friend of Ruvi’s. Yellow scales spotted white and black with wings that shimmer between turquoise and green
  • Haemis: Keeper of Order, grey hair, black and gold robes
  • Hanlyn: Faryn’s steward. Shoulder-length golden brown hair streaked with silver
  • Harvon/Harvy Farsyx: younger brother to Arivys/Ari, member of Callyx’s squad. Short red hair. Bonded to a diving dragon. He’s twenty-six at the beginning of the series
  • Helya: Dachlan’s bonded gem dragon. Topaz-like scales.
  • Islan Severin: second oldest child of the King’s brother, sister to Callyx. She’s twenty-nine at the beginning of the book. Long brown wavy hair, collects feathers, befriends birds, and always wears a sapphire scale from her dragon who died.
  • Ivaryx/Iva: close friend and member of Callyx’s squadron. She’s bonded to a bladed dragon named Srago and is twenty-nine at the start of the series. Adores fresh flowers and keeps them in her room. She has long, black locs and is also close friends with Islan.
  • Ivon Vestyr: Asha’s father. greying beard and hair
  • Laya: Asha’s friend from Dolevyr
  • Lorek Severin: youngest Severin brother, freshly bonded to his dragon and only nineteen in the beginning. He has short auburn hair. Bonded to an emerald green gem dragon
  • Marcelene Severin: twenty at the beginning. The only child of the King and Queen. Princess. She has long blonde, wavy hair.
  • Mavren Severin: Second youngest Severin brother, twenty-six at the beginning, considered the most attractive. Wavy blonde hair reaches below his ears. He’s bonded to a carob brown sting dragon.
  • Myani: a rider recruit bonded to a gem dragon named Olyre. Said to be a good fighter and have strong character
  • Nolyn: Reymak’s steward
  • Nyra: Harvy’s bonded diving dragon with blue-grey scales. Sister to Vallyk
  • Olyre: Myani’s bonded gem dragon, dark green scales almost more look black without light. One of the few dragons Rydek doesn’t mind
  • Orvis: Asha’s friend from Dolevyr
  • Padry: small turquoise stealth dragon who was almost killed by poachers as a baby. He was saved by Ashirae who he now clings to all the time.
  • Reymak: third eldest Severin brother if Callyx is included (second if not). Starts the series at twenty-eight, only a few days younger than Callyx. Auburn hair to his shoulders. Bonded to a dark grey bladed dragon.
  • Roane: Asha’s friend. Lady of the night. Artist. Long, wavy mahogany hair
  • Roland: the wagoner who brought Asha and her father to Elyvar
  • Ruvern/Ruvi: Roane’s friend, the baker. Sandy brown hair and has a flycher friend named Fynrel
  • Rydek: Elyvae’s soul-bonded sting dragon. Obsidian scales with a metallic sheen of dark purple and blue. Very temperamental and distrusting
  • Savrak: friend of the royal brothers (excluding Callyx) and member of Faryn’s squadron.
  • Sila: a steward who helps Asha her first night as a steward. Her sister is a trader on the sea
  • Srago: Ivaryx’s bonded grey bladed dragon. Grumpy a lot but very loyal to Iva
  • Syreth: Tharin’s bonded blade dragon. Copper scales. Very protective
  • Syvil: Librarian in the Keep’s Library. A talented enchantress and seer. Long grey hair past the shoulders, hazel eyes, carries a cane with a dragon head carved in the top.
  • Tharin: brown hair streaked with dark auburn. One jade green eye and one dark brown eye. Bonded to Syreth. Starts out as a virgin
  • Vallyk: Ari’s bonded diving dragon with blue-grey scales. Brother to Nyra
  • Valyus: See ‘Elyvae’. Valyus is her last name
  • Vymek Severin: brother to the King, middle child of the three brothers. Father of Callyx, Faryn, Islan, Reymak, Mavren, and Lorek. Auburn hair and beard.
  • Wilvur: neighbor to Asha and her father at the communal home. He becomes friends with her dad
  • Wyvra: stealth dragon rider. Her dragon has pine green scales and is named Bavryth. She has silvery white, pixie-cut hair. Second year bonded at the beginning of the series
  • Zaia: a friend of Roane’s from the brothel
  • Zephry: Callyx’s head of ground crew. Brown hair. Around 5’6 and very solid/muscular/thick.
